Maui Smith is a poet from Cleveland, Ohio. They earned their MFA in Poetry at Hood College, and acted as founding editor-in-chief for the graduate student literary magazine, Pergola. Their work has appeared in Club Plum Literary Journal, Electric Literature, Equinox Journal, The Oyster River Pages, and been anthologized in the Porch Water Press' The Water Behind Us: An Anthology for a New World. They are an adjunct professor of African-American poetry, and a Printmaking and Visual Poerty apprentice.
